Things are getting ghostly at From the Shadows . . .
Things are getting ghostly at From the Shadows . . . It’s that time of year again, with ghosts and ghouls getting ready to roam the streets, the air is crisp and clean and pumpkins and mums adorn porches. The veil is thinning and all things spooky emerge. My favorite time of the year! It’s taken a while, but the next book in the From the Darkness series is nearly ready to be released! Cult of Darkness! I had hoped that it would be ready at the beginning of the Halloween season. Life does what life does, however, and it will be a little bit late. Cult takes darkness to the next level, with a little necromancy in the works, along with some grave robbing antics. Some old characters return, living and dead, and should give some “leave the lights on while you read” vibes. I hope you enjoy it! I’ll post when it’s available and give more story details soon. I am also going to be taking submissions for the fourth book in the True Ghost Stories and Hauntings series. If you’ve had a paranormal experience (ghostly or otherwise), feel free to pop over to fromtheshadowspublishing.com and click “Submit” at the top of the page. It’ll take you right to the form you need, along with submission guidelines. Every submission that is accepted and has an address provided, will receive a free signed copy of the book after publication. Let’s get spooky! At the end of June, I released You Were the Music, a collection of poems written in the year following my fiancé, Darren’s, death. For those of you who don’t know me personally, my fiancé passed away in 2024 after a long battle with multiple myeloma. He was weeks away from a potentially life-saving clinical trial. The poems are from the depths of my pain, sadness and loss. As for the Sullivan Paranormal Society, we have been on hiatus since Darren’s passing. I hope to get things up and running again in the not too distant future. I’ll keep you informed. Take care, everyone, and stay spooky! Barb
